Program Manager

Our client is a supplier to the interconnect industry. They are a global player in the interconnect and defense industries. Job Description
The successful candidate must possess extensive knowledge of applying disciplined program management processes over all phases of the program life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
This involves:
Remaining sensitive to customer needs, concerns, and expectations. Establishing and fostering collaborative relationships across the line of business and company. Contributing to system engineering efforts to ensure operational priorities are reflected clearly in program objectives and system requirements. Ensuring that all contractual requirements are met within the funds provided on the contract in accordance with the highest standards of ethical business conduct. Managing the program throughout its lifecyle in accordance with company policies and procedures and contractual stipulations. Developing and presenting periodic program performance reports to keep customer and company management apprised of various program details, current status, and risks/opportunities. Interfacing with company functional areas (engineering, business development, finance, contracts, security, etc.) to ensure appropriate engagement and program support.
Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for broadening customer awareness of company capabilities, identifying business opportunities, and growing our current portfolio by performing capture, proposal, and program management for qualified opportunities.
Successful candidate will be outgoing, confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well organized, with a passion for customer service and unwavering commitment to excellence. Must demonstrate sound judgment and willingness to act in the absence of direction. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with good listening habits, strong data retention, and ability to adapt communication style to intended audience. Must set the example by presenting a pleasant demeanor and engaging persona, professional in appearance and deportment, while interacting with customers, program staff, and colleagues.
BS degree in a technical discipline or MBA and a minimum of 3 years of interconnect or defense industry experience, or demonstrated effectiveness to meet managerial expectations.
