Procurement Manager - China
Our client is a large global electronics
manufacturing services (EMS) company headquartered in the US.
As a Procurement Manager:
-
Understand customer's SCM (Supply Chain
Management) strategy/issues, develop strategic direction for our client’s
group procurement & SCM organization.
-
Develop jointly with SCM a supply flexibility
plan to achieve the maximal product availability, while minimize the EOL
(End of Line) liability.
-
Manage customer assigned
suppliers/distributors and develop an effective three way relationship.
As a Supplier & Commodity Manager:
-
Manage supplier relationship and performance
metric (Technology, Cost, Supply, Quality, Service)
-
Support R&D (Research and Development) NPI
(New Product Introduction) activities, sourcing/supplier selection, RFQ
(Request for Quote), risk management, achieving time-to-market and the
best-in-class product cost.

Collaborate with SCM and Procurement staff in
Corporate Headquarter and provide an escalation path to address supplier
issues
Requirements:
-
5-10 years of Procurement preferred, supplier
and commodity management experience in computer, communication or storage
industries
-
Proficient in Semiconductor, ASIC,
Interconnect process & technologies
-
Project management, contract development, and
negotiation skill
-
Enjoy managing business with people from
diversified cultures and across geographies
-
International traveling required
-
Understand Chinese Culture and/or Mandarin
speaking will be a major plus
-
BS in Business or Technical discipline. MBA
Preferred.
