Front End Engineering Manager or CAM Manager

They produce a wide and varied range of product, from the simplest single-sided printed circuit boards to very complex multilayer rigid PCB constructions, including HDI. Job Description  

Tasks: The Front End Engineering department is responsible for the creation and maintenance of electronic tools used to manufacture printed circuit boards (PCB’s). In addition the group establishes manufacturability of new parts, works with process engineering and manufacturing to establish manufacturing process routings, and communicates closely with customers on their parts. The FE Engineering Manager’s responsibilities include supervision of tooling, planning, pre-CAM and PCB CAM engineers engaged in creation of electronic tools used to manufacture printed circuit boards. Providing sales support on reviewing new customer parts. Communicating with sales and customers on new parts. Performing the general duties of electronic tool creation as described by individual's job descriptions. Creating accurate bills of materials. Maintaining neat and orderly work places. Manage the group including writing performance reviews as scheduled. Prepare and manage a yearly budget, and establish and manage a yearly plan for his/her department. Maintain and where necessary upgrade software used in analyzing and tooling part data. Perform other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Five years experience in printed circuit manufacturing technology, BS degree desirable and or equivalent industry experience. Knowledge and application of statistical techniques for process control. Knowledge and maintenance of tooling software and hardware. Solid knowledge of Valor Genesis software (Genesis 2000), the industry-leading PCB pre-production CAM system enhanced with powerful DFM tools. Simulating the entire CAD to manufacturing process. MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US. The individual needs to be a working manager, must be very hands on for this company.
