OOur client is a manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCB) for commercial, medical and defense applications. The company has the capabilities of manufacturing rigid PCB’s and rigid flex PCB’s. They manufacture PCB’s up to 48 layers; capabilities included buried capacitance, microvia technology, sequential laminations and blind & buried via’s.
Do you have operations and/or engineering experience in the printed circuit board (PCB) industry?
The key responsibilities include:
Achieving medium and long term operational targets.
Strategically directing an implementing necessary PCB manufacturing technologies for production.
Shaping and developing production strategy and organization.
Developing annual operating budgets and ensuring the operation runs efficiently and within budget.
Deriving tactical and operational measures, actions and projects from the company’s strategy and ensuring its implementation.
Deciding on necessary resource allocation and proper report structure within departments.
Developing and shaping the organization culture in line with the strategy of the VP of Operations.
Developing challenging operational goals which are tied with company’s defined targets.
Participating, implementing, and administrating integrated continuous quality/performance improvement and cost/efficiency programs for the operations.
Ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations of the management manual.
Working with the VP of Operations and providing management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective and integrated operations.
Keeping the VP of Operations informed about business activities, potential threats, opportunities and recommended actions.
Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Managerial functions also include:
Designing and implementing the structure of the operational organization.
Defining responsibility and authority.
Developing, motivating and encouraging staff with charisma.
Setting priorities and assuring execution of commitments.
Defining necessary infrastructure in terms of equipment and staff.
Providing training for staff.
Allocating human resources and funds.
Deciding on selection of new employees, and termination of existing contracts.
Minimum 5 years of senior production management experience in the printed circuit board industry, preferably with a strong engineering background.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals.
Self motivated with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations an procedures, formulating policy, developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, fiscal management principles and procedures.
